Industrial price growth in Ukraine slows to 1.2% in Sept – statistics
Industrial prices in Ukraine in September 2018 increased by 1.2% after a 1.3% growth in August and 1.6% in July, the State Statistics Service has said.
In annual terms (as compared to the same month of the previous year) in September of this year industrial price growth slowed to 18.9% from 19.3% in August.
The authority said that within Ukraine industrial prices in September grew by 0.9% and for supplies outside the country – by 2.3%. In annual terms the growth was 20.2% and 11.2% respectively.
Since the beginning of this year, industrial prices in Ukraine rose by 12.4%, in particular in the country by 14.3%, for exports by 5%.
As reported, the growth of industrial prices in 2017 slowed down to 16.5% from 35.7% at the end of 2016 and 25.4% at the end of 2015.
In 2017, inflation in Ukraine accelerated to 13.7% from 12.4% in 2016. In September 2018, it was 1.9%, from the beginning of the year - 5.6%, and in annual terms it slowed down to 8.9%.
