Trilateral gas talks resemble giving lectures to Russians
Trilateral gas consultations in the Ukraine-EU format today have given no results and more look like giving lectures to Russians, Naftogaz Chief Commercial Officer Yuriy Vitrenko said at a press conference in Kyiv on Tuesday.
"There are no negotiations. These consultations resemble lectures in a university where we are seating with Europeans and telling Russians how the European market is working," he said.
Vitrenko said that it looks like Russia is trying to buy time.
"The expert consultations are simply to speak… We are surprised with this process, if not feel that they are simply trying to buy time, as there are no real talks. We accept this as a trick of Gazprom: "Tom harks, and lunches at his ease" and continues building Nord Stream 2," he said.
