Rada backs at first reading increase in fines for non-fastened seat belt by 17 times
The Verkhovna Rada intends to raise fines for violations of the use of seat belts and crash helmets by almost 17 times - from UAH 51 to UAH 850.
Some 240 parliamentarians voted for relevant bill No. 8492 at the first reading on introducing amendments to Article 121 of the Administrative Offenses Code on the reduction of deaths and injuries on the roads of the country due to the increased use of seat belts and crash helmets, an Interfax-Ukraine correspondent reported.
