Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman has said that the Cabinet of Ministers will envisage UAH 56 billion for road construction in 2019.
"Next year, we will allocate 56 billion hryvnias for road construction," he said at a government meeting in Kyiv on Wednesday.
In particular, UAH 17 billion will be allocated for local roads.
In addition, over UAH 2 billion will be earmarked for road safety (safety islands, fences, crossings, etc.).
"Seventy-five percent of the total excise, which comes from the fuel, will be spent on the roads," Groysman added.
According to him, UAH 47 billion was allocated for the construction of roads in 2018.
