Ukrzaliznytsia seeks to write off up to 40% of unserviceable diesel locomotives
PJSC Ukrzaliznytsia plans to write off from 30% to 40% unserviceable diesel locomotives of the locomotive fleet, acting Board Chairman Yevhen Kravtsov said at a briefing in Kyiv on Tuesday.
"Today out of the total fleet of locomotives – these are diesel locomotives, electric locomotives and shunting locomotives – 30-40% is beyond repair. According to the approved rules, following the inspection we will write them off and sell in line with the procedure approved by the Cabinet [of Ministers]," he said.
Kravtsov said that the procedure is being tested on unserviceable wagons. It envisages the independent appraisal of items and their sale via the ProZorro e-sales platform.
