Ukrainian Walnut to start building plant for nuts processing worth $20 mln in 2019

Ukrainian Walnut LLC (Kyiv) plans in 2019 to start the construction of a walnut processing plant with an estimated cost of $20 million in Mohyliv-Podilsky district of Vinnytsia region, the company has said.

"The maximum capacity of the plant will be 10,000 tonnes per season. It provides a full cycle of processing both nuts and shells for abrasive material.

"The products will be supplied to the countries of the European Union and Arab countries," the press service of the company informed.

Ukrainian Walnut since 2016 has planted 275,000 walnut trees on 750 hectares and this year expects the first harvest.

"It is planned by the end of 2022 to increase the walnut garden to 750,000 trees, the area to 2,000 hectares," the company said.

Ukrainian Walnut is a vertically integrated company with a full cycle of cultivation, processing and packaging of walnuts. The company was founded in September 2015. It has its own plant for processing walnuts in Mohyliv-Podilsky district of Vinnytsia region. The company delivers its products to the EU countries.
