Supreme Court upholds decision to invalidate Ukrnafta contracts with Kotlas for almost UAH 3 bln
The Economic Court of appeals within the Supreme Court of Ukraine on August 14 decided to uphold the decision of the lower court on invalidating 60 contracts for the purchase of petroleum products by Ukrnafta from Kotlas LLC for UAH 2.94 billion, the press service of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) has stated.
"The Supreme Court left unchanged the decision of the appellate court in the case on the suit of the NABU against Ukrnafta and Kotlas on the invalidation of the said contracts ... Thus, Ukrnafta received legal grounds for the recovery of UAH 2.94 billion in order to reimburse for damages," the report says.
As reported, the Kyiv Economic Court of Appeals on March 6, 2018 invalidated 60 contracts for the purchase of petroleum products by Ukrnafta from Kotlas LLC for UAH 2.94 billion at the suit of the NABU. After that, Ukrnafta tried to appeal the decision at the Supreme Court.
