Wizz Air to launch Kharkiv-London flight in Nov
Hungary's low cost airline Wizz Air from November 13, 2018 will service Kharkiv-London flights (London Luton Airport) three times a week – on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
The airline's press service reported that Ukrainian passengers planning to visit the U.K. can book tickets on the airline's website at prices starting from UAH 609/EUR 19.99.
According to the report, Wizz Air will offer over 180,000 seats on flights to/from Ukraine in 2019.
In addition to opening new destinations from/to Kharkiv, Wizz Air also placed the third Airbus A320 on its Kyiv base and expanded the route network from Lviv to Dortmund, Gdansk, Katowice and London Luton.
"The Kharkiv-London Luton flights will be the first in the history regular flights of the Kharkiv International Airport in Kharkiv region and Britain. We believe that direct Kharkiv-London Luton flights will become a driver of development of financial, cultural, economic and tourist relations with the capital of Great Britain not only for our city, but also for the entire Eastern Ukraine," the airline said, citing Director General of the operator of the Kharkiv International Airport New Systems AM, which is part of the DCH group of businessman Oleksandr Yaroslavsky, Volodymyr Vasylchenko.
