Deputy Finance Minister Marchenko tenders resignation
Ukrainian Deputy Finance Minister Serhiy Marchenko has tendered his resignation.
"The Cabinet of Ministers is processing relevant materials regarding Marchenko's dismissal from the post of deputy minister of finance of Ukraine," the government's secretariat said in response to a request by the Interfax-Ukraine news agency.
Marchenko and Yuriy Butsa were appointed deputy finance ministers in May 2016. Earlier Marchenko announced his intention to resign from the post after acting Finance Minister Oksana Markarova decides on a candidate for his replacement.
On June 7, the Verkhovna Rada dismissed Finance Minister Oleksandr Danyliuk at the request of Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman. After that the Cabinet of Ministers appointed Markarova acting finance minister.
