Council for financial stability supports concept of regulating operations with crypto currencies
The Council for Financial Stability has supported the concept of regulating operations with crypto currencies, Head of the National Commission on Securities and the Stock Market of Ukraine Timur Khromaev has said.
"The Council for Financial Stability has supported the concept of regulating operations with crypto currencies! This concept involves the recognition of certain categories of crypto currency and tokens as financial instruments, the role and functions of state bodies (the NBU, the National Commission on Securities and the Stock Market, the Ministry of Finance) in regulating the circulation of these instruments, licensing participants in the operations, information disclosure, etc.," he wrote on Facebook.
According to him, the concept of regulating operations with crypto currencies, supported by the Council for Financial Stability, is an important first step in forming consensus between government agencies and financial regulators, which confirms their readiness to work with the Verkhovna Rada and the crypto market on forming a legislative and regulatory framework.
