Beeline Kazakhstan CEO Komarov will head Kyivstar in place of Chernyshov leaving VEON
Alexander Komarov, the chief executive of Beeline Kazakhstan, in addition to his current duties will temporarily act as executive director of Kyivstar, the largest Ukrainian mobile communications operator, according to VEON (formerly VimpelCom Ltd.) including these companies.
"Peter Chernyshov, who previously headed the Eurasia business unit and who held the post of president of Kyivstar in Ukraine, decided to leave the group," the document says.
According to the report, these changes, together with a number of other appointments, were carried out within the framework of further simplification of the group's operational model.
"The group has carried out a large-scale review of management principles and the establishment of an effective headquarters structure to support operating companies in emerging markets," the press release said.
