Russia deleted from list of countries producing parts for Ukraine's An-178 - Poroshenko
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko says that Russia has been excluded from the number of producers of components for the Ukrainian transport plane An-178.
"The Ukrainian beauty, An-178, has recently made a demo flight in the suburb of London at the international air show Farnborough Airshow," he wrote on Facebook on Wednesday.
The President recalled that the An-178 transport aircraft had been developed by engineers of State Enterprise (SE) Antonov. "And, most importantly, 78% of the components for the aircraft are manufactured in Ukraine, and Russia has been excluded from the list of the countries that produce the rest of the details for our An-178," Poroshenko added.
State Enterprise Antonov is a leading Ukrainian developer and manufacturer of aircraft equipment, a recognized world leader in the manufacture of transport aircraft. Under a government decision, the enterprise in 2015 was incorporated in state-owned Ukroboronprom Concern.
