EC Vice-President Sefcovic meets with Ukrainian, Russian delegations upon their arrival for trilateral gas talks
Vice-President of the European Commission Maros Sefcovic has met with Ukrainian and Russian delegations upon their arrival for trilateral negotiations between Ukraine, Russia and the European Union on the transit of Russian gas through Ukraine.
Sefcovic posted photos of relevant meetings on his Twitter page.
"Pleased to welcome Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin and Ukraine's team to Berlin […] Pleased to greet Russian Energy Minister [Alexander] Novak and Russia's delegation in Berlin ahead of our trilateral gas talks," he wrote.
As reported, Naftogaz Ukrainy will enter into trilateral negotiations with Russia and the European Union with a proposal to ensure the transit of natural gas via its territory after 2019 according to European rules.
