EBA after approval by all authorized agencies hopes for annulment of 10% markup on medical products procured using budget funds
The European Business Association (EBA) is waiting for the annulment of 10% markup on medical products which are partially or fully procured using funds of the national and local budgets after the approval of the idea by all authorized public agencies.
Executive Director of the EBA Health Care Committee Natalia Serhienko told Interfax-Ukraine that after a joint meeting chaired by First Deputy Economic Development and Trade Ministry of Ukraine Maksym Nefyodov with participation of representatives of public agencies and experts of the EBA Health Care Committee, the ministry also backed the idea of annulling this markup.
Serhienko said that this markup does not allow companies directly participate in public procurement tenders.
At present, market players are waiting that the Health Ministry would submit the respective government resolution and its approval by the government.
The EBA experts said that they sent the feasibility study proving the necessity of annulling 10% markup to public agencies. This type of markup is not available in the EU legislation.
