Odesa port-side plant rests responsibility for April debts for gas on All-Ukrainian Energy Company

Responsibility for the debts incurred during gas processing at Odesa Port-Side Chemical Plant in April is conferred on All-Ukrainian Energy Company, first deputy director of the enterprise Mykola Schurikov has said.

"In April the plant received natural gas in accordance with the terms of the toll processing agreement with the company. According to the agreement between the plant and the company, the gas supplier [All-Ukrainian Energy Company] was the customer of transportation services. According to the Gas Transportation System Code, the customer of transportation services is responsible for the imbalance," he wrote on his Facebook page.

At the same time, according to the expert, the claims of PJSC Ukrtransgaz to Odesa Port-Side Chemical Plant regarding April debts are unreasonable, moreover, he considers Ukrtransgaz to be guilty of improper fulfillment of gas balance obligations.

As reported, Ukrtransgaz appealed to the National Police with the request to intervene in the situation with a rapid increase in debts of Odesa Port-Side Chemical Plant and the preparation of the enterprise's products for exports by "unidentified persons."

According to the company, in April, when supplying gas to the plant, All-Ukrainian Energy Company owed UAH 500 million for balancing services. In addition, the plant has a debt to Ukrtransgaz in the amount of UAH 473 million.
