TAScombank owner Tigipko becomes bank board chairman
The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) has approved the candidature of Sergiy Tigipko for the post of chairman of the board of TAScombank (Kyiv), the bank reported in the information disclosure system of the National Commission on Securities and the Stock Market.
"According to order No. 346-k dated May 18 and on the basis of the written consent from the National Bank of Ukraine, from May 18 Sergiy Tigipko assumed the duties of board chairman at TAScombank," the report says.
As reported, in March 2018 the supervisory board of TAScombank appointed Tigipko board chairman of the financial institution in place of Yekateryna Melesh, who was dismissed from the post at the request of the National Bank because of the bank's violating legislation in the field of financial monitoring.
According to the NBU, as of January 1, 2018 the major owner of the TAScombank was Sergiy Tigipko, who owned 99.86851% of the shares.
TAScombank ranked 18th among 84 active banks in Ukraine as of January 1, 2018 in terms of net assets (UAH 13.843 billion), according to the National Bank of Ukraine.
