Law on anti-corruption court critically important to Ukraine under EFF program - IMF
A law on the anti-corruption court is critically important for Ukraine to complete the fourth review under the Extended Fund Facility (EFF) program, IMF Spokesperson Gerry Rice has said.
"We think more progress needs to be made on a number of fronts before we can conclude the fourth review. These issues include the energy sector, fiscal policy, approval of an appropriate law setting a strong and independent anti-corruption court, and on the latter. This is crucial," he said.
"We feel that necessary amendments are to be adopted to ensure the final version of that law is fully consistent with the program commitments and the recommendations of the Venice Commission and the Council of Europe," he said.
