Govt approves Ukrzaliznytsia membership in EBA

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved full membership of public joint-stock company Ukrzaliznytsia in the European Business Association (EBA)

The government decision was made at a meeting on Wednesday.

It is planned that this would improve the investment climate in the country and the railway industry and society would benefit from it. It would help to develop cooperation between Ukraine and the European Union (EU).

The entry fee of EUR 400, as well as annual membership fees of EUR 1,400, is planned to be paid in hryvnia equivalent at the expense of the own funds of the company, which Ukrzaliznytsia intends to compensate by the potential opportunity to receive additional funds.

The membership of Ukrzaliznytsia in the EBA, in the opinion of the company, would lead to an improvement in the conditions for the development of rail transport.
