The General Court of the EU has rejected Naftogaz Ukrainy's lawsuit regarding the Opal gas pipeline, the company's press service has reported.
"The EU General Court on March 9, 2018 for reasons of inadmissibility rejected the lawsuit against the European Commission with the request to cancel the decision dated October 28, 2016. The court concluded that, among other things, the EC decision to release the Opal gas pipeline from some of the Third Energy Package norms was not final but had to be implemented at the level of national measures and therefore is not subject to contestation at this court," the press service noted.
Naftogaz said the court also rejected the claim of Poland's PGNiG on Opal.
"There is still Poland's complaint to the European Commission on this issue and there is no decision on it yet," the press service added.
