Fiscal service designing software for monitoring postal items deliveries
The State Fiscal Service of Ukraine is designing a software using which the agency plans to monitor deliveries of postal items and express deliveries, acting Head of the State Fiscal Service Myroslav Prodan has said in an interview with the Dsnews newspaper.
"Now the fiscal service is designing the appropriate software product, using which we will be able to control postal and express deliveries. We will also change the mechanism for receiving parcels," he said.
According to Prodan, today in one package there can be a thousand units of goods, which allegedly come to hundreds of different people, but virtually all the goods are received by one importing company.
"The postal operator does not care who receives the items. What are the questions to it? The scheme is quite large. The price of the issue is several billions of hryvnias," he said.
He said that the steps of the State Fiscal Service are aimed at eliminating these schemes of dealing with postal items.
Also, Prodan said that after the installation of scanning systems at checkpoints, smuggling will also become virtually impossible.
