Ukraine could receive $2 bln from IMF in May or June

 Ukraine could receive a new tranche from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in the amount of $2 billion in May or June 2018 if the country meets the conditions for cooperation under the Extended Fund Facility (EFF), the Ukraina TV and radio company has reported after an interview with Ukrainian Finance Minister Oleksandr Danyliuk in Washington.

"We have several issues on the agenda now. This is the adoption of the bill on the creation of the anti-corruption court. This must be a law that would be quickly and effectively implemented. This is the key issue," the minister said.

Last week the National Bank of Ukraine also said that its anticipations that Ukraine would attract $2 billion from the IMF in 2018 are retained, although the central bank predicted that the new tranche would arrive early third quarter this year.
