Ukrainian enterprises post UAH 153.2 bln in pretax profit in 2017 - statistics

Ukrainian enterprises in 2017 posted UAH 153.218 billion in pretax profit, which was 1.6 times up on 2016, when their pretax profit was UAH 94.039 billion, the State Statistics Service of Ukraine said on Monday.

The enterprises that were in the black posted UAH 457.3 billion in profit in 2017, which was 36.2% up on 2016, the State Statistics Service said.

The share of unprofitable enterprises in 2017 grew by 1.6 percentage points from 2016, to 25.8%. Their losses last year were estimated at UAH 304.1 billion.
