National Reforms Council recommends considering currency bill as urgen
The National Reforms Council under the President of Ukraine after discussing a currency bill on March 2 drawn up by the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) has recommended considering the document as urgent, Deputy NBU Governor Oleh Churiy has said.
"The National Reforms Council not only supported this bill, but also recommended considering it as urgent, as the document is extremely important for developing the market and moving Ukraine towards free flow of capital," he said at a press conference in Kyiv on Monday.
Churiy said that the bill has been supported by the majority of market players. Lawyers are working on the final document making technical remarks. This document will be submitted to the Verkhovna Rada and the President of Ukraine will speak about it.
The president will be the initiator of this bill.
As reported, the NBU on August 10, 2017 posted the bill on currency, which should become a single legislative act that determines the order of currency regulation and currency supervision in the country, on its website for public discussion.
