Arrival of mission to Kyiv within EFF program not on agenda
The International Monetary Fund (IMF), as before, has no time frames for the arrival of the mission to Ukraine as part of the fourth revision of the EFF program, IMF Spokesperson Gerry Rice has said.
"I can indeed confirm that at the request of the Ukrainian authorities, there is a small staff team from the IMF in Kyiv to discuss some technical aspects of the reforms agreed under the program, including the draft legislation on the Anti-Corruption Court. That mission is scheduled to be completed tomorrow. The timing of the next review mission is not yet decided," he said at a briefing in Washington.
As reported, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko in an interview with Bloomberg in Davos expressed hope that approximately by April the IMF mission will visit Kyiv, after which Ukraine will be able to receive the next tranche from the IMF.
Head of the Council of the National Bank of Ukraine Bohdan Danylyshyn, in turn, noted the IMF mission will approximately arrive in Kyiv in mid-February.
