Poroshenko says Ukraine will invite Austrian companies to participate in tender for Ukrainian GTS management
Austrian companies will be invited to participate in the tender for the management of the Ukrainian gas transportation system (GTS), Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has said.
"As part of energy cooperation with Austria, we will be happy to invite companies, including Austrian ones, to participate in the tender for the management of the Ukrainian gas transportation system. We are confident that this will be a profitable and efficient economic project," Poroshenko said at the joint press conference with Austrian Federal Chancellor Sebastian Kurz in Vienna on Thursday.
"At the same time, the Nord Stream-2 is largely a political project, which has no economic reason," the Ukrainian president added.
