Ukrainians sell $257.2 mln more currency than buy in Jan
Ukrainians in January 2018 bought currency from banks for the equivalent of $580 million, while sold for $837.3 million, the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) said on the website.
Net sales of cash currency by Ukrainians in January amounted to $257.2 million.
According to the report, in comparison with December 2017, the volume of forex purchases increased by 21.2%, sales increased by 4.4%.
The NBU said, in particular, Ukrainians last month bought U.S. dollars for $452.1 million, sold for $618.5 million.
As reported, in 2017, net sales of cash currency by Ukrainians totaled $2.139 billion.
