Groysman insists on creation of Financial Intelligence Service

 Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman has noted the need to eliminate the powers of the law enforcement agencies in relation to the investigation of economic crimes and the establishment of the Financial Intelligence Service (FIS).

"We need to eliminate, I stress, the powers of the Security Service of Ukraine, the National Police, the Tax Police, the Prosecutor's Office in the field of entrepreneurship and business so that these bodies wouldn't have the right to verify entrepreneurs," he said at a Cabinet meeting on Wednesday.

"We need to create an intellectual service, the Financial Intelligence Service," he added.
