Ukrgazvydobuvannia switches to Honeywell hydrotreating catalyst at Shebelynka gas refinery

Public joint-stock company Ukrgazvydobuvannia has switched to the use of HYT-4118 Unity hydrotreating catalyst made by Honeywell (the United States) for the needs of hydrotreating of diesel fuel at the Shebelynka gas refinery (Kharkiv region), the press service of the U.S. company has reported.

Honeywell said that Ukrgazvydobuvannia chose the HYT-4118 catalyst because of its ability to produce diesel fuel that meets the Euro 5 emissions standard while conserving hydrogen.

As reported, in 2017, Shebelynka gas refinery conducted a large-scale modernization of its equipment to increase the quality of fuel made at the refinery.

Ukrgazvydobuvannia is wholly owned by Naftogaz Ukrainy. It is the largest gas producer in the country, accounting for about 75% of the nation's total gas production.

It operates Shebelynka gas refinery, Yablunivske department to process gas, Bazylivschyna condensate stabilization unit, and 18 gas filling stations in Kharkiv region. The latter sells fuel and liquefied gas of its own production. Shebelynka gas refinery started production of petrol and diesel fuel meeting Euro 4 emission standards in 2016.
