Ukroboronprom starts creation of radar and electronic warfare cluster
The Ukroboronprom State Concern has started creating the radar and electronic warfare cluster, the press service of the concern reported last week.
State-owned enterprise (SOE) Scientific and Production Complex Iskra is the leading enterprise of this cluster.
A significant growth of sales volumes in 2017 for the needs of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine was seen to 2015 - by 8 times.
In 2018-2020 Iskra seeks to start introducing 3D printing to bulk production.
According to the report, the cluster will include leading enterprises of Ukroboronprom and private sector companies: SOE Research Institute Kvant-Radioelektronika, SOE Research Institute of Radar Systems, SOE Research Institute of Electronic Equipment, SOE Novator, Telecard-Device and Ukrainian Research Institute of Computer Technologies LLC.
"The combination of the scientific and production potential of the leading enterprises will enable the development of new high-tech samples of military equipment," the press service said.
