Industrial production in Ukraine 0.1% down in 2017
Industrial production in Ukraine in 2017 decreased by 0.1% compared to 2016, and in December it decreased by 0.5%, the State Statistics Service has said.
The authority said that with the adjustment to the effect of calendar days industrial production in December 2017 increased by 0.4% from December 2016.
In comparison with the previous month in December of last year industrial production grew by 1%, however, taking into account the seasonal factor it increased by 1.9%.
The rise in processing industry in December 2017 was 4.4%, while the decline in mining and quarrying was 4.4%, in the supply of electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning some 13.3%.
In general, for 2017 industrial production in Ukraine increased by 4%, while in mining industry the decline was 5.8%, and in the supply of electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning 6.5%.
As reported, industrial production grew by 2.4% in 2016 after a decline seen four years in a row: 13% in 2015, 10.1% in 2014, 4.3% in 2013 and 0.7% in 2012.
