SPF to lease site of 60,000 sq m in Chornobyl to build solar power plant
The State Property Fund of Ukraine (SPF) plans to lease a site of 60,000 square meters in Chornobyl to build a solar power plant, the Vidomosti Pryvatyzatsii newspaper has reported.
According to the fund, currently there is on bid for leasing the site. During 10 days (starting January 15) the fund accepts bids from other bidders.
"If the bids were two and more, the regional division of the SPF will announce a tender to lease the site. The winner will be selected considering offers for rent rates," First Deputy SPF Head Dmytro Parfenenko wrote on his Facebook page.
A solar power plant with a capacity of around 3 MW could be placed on 60,000 square meters.
As reported, the SPF at the end of last year announced a tender to select an appraiser for a part of the coolant system of Chornobyl nuclear power plant (NPP) located on 2,500 square meters for placing a solar power plant.
Earlier Solar Chornobyl rented part of the concrete site near the construction of the second-order switchgear with an area of 1.7 hectares in Prypiat.
