Rada passes bill concerning audit of financial reports, audit activities
Ukraine's Verkhovna Rada on Wednesday passed bill No. 6016-d on audit of financial reports and audit activities with 229 affirmative votes.
"The bill is intended to bring the national legislation in the area of audit in line with the EU legislation, in particular, the provision of Directive 43 and Regulations 537 approved in 2014," Head of the parliamentary committee for tax policy Nina Yuzhanina said, presenting the document.
She said that it was decided to postpone the term of taking effect for the document from May 1, 2018 to October 1, 2018.
After voting Verkhovna Rada Chairman Andriy Parubiy said that he received complaints that there were facts of impersonal voting, and he will again put bill No. 6016-d for voting to confirm the result.
Then First Deputy Head of the parliamentary committee for procedure and organization of work of the Verkhovna Rada Pavlo Pynzenyk said that instead of re-voting, dissatisfied deputies should register a resolution abolishing the bill, which will be floored to the parliament.
