Claims of national joint-stock company Naftogaz Ukrainy against Russia's Gazprom in the Arbitration Institute of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce for the gas transit contract are estimated at $6.5-16 billion, Naftogaz Chief Commercial Director Yuriy Vitrenko said at a press conference in Kyiv on Wednesday.
"Our claims for transit are $6.5-16 billion, depending on the fact if the Ukrainian legislation is taken into account," he said.
Vitrenko said that cross claims of Gazprom are rather small – several millions of U.S. dollars. Full Gazprom's claims, including the gas supply contract, are estimated at $59.2 billion.
