Rada votes down scrapping bill on 2018 state budget
The Verkhovna Rada has not supported the draft resolution (No. 7000-P) on the abolition of a decision to adopt the bill on the state budget for 2018.
Only 65 MPs voted for this resolution with a required minimum being 226 votes on Wednesday.
Author of the draft resolution, non-affiliated MP Yuriy Levchenko believes the voting for the 2018 state budget law should be canceled, as it was conducted "with gross violation of the requirements of the Constitution and the Verkhovna Rada regulations."
In addition, people's deputies did not support draft resolution No. 7116-P on the abolition of the decision of the Verkhovna Rada dated December 7 on the adoption of the bill on amendments to the Budget Code of Ukraine, having supported it only with 41 votes.
Thus, since the parliament did not support the decision to abolish voting for next year's state budget, Verkhovna Rada Chairman Andriy Parubiy will now sign the bill and send it to Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko.
