Dragon Capital to raise up to $300 mln in Ukraine in 2018
Dragon Capital, an investment company, jointly with co-investors, namely Goldman Sachs, George Soros, and OPIC, plans to raise up to $300 million in investment in Ukraine in 2018.
"About 10 deals are in the pipeline," Chief Executive Officer of Dragon Capital Tomas Fiala said at a press conference in Kyiv on Tuesday, December 19.
The final sum will depend on the implementation of one or two large deals with co-investors to the tune of up to $150 million, he told Interfax-Ukraine.
Fiala estimates Dragon Capital's investment in Ukraine in 2017 at $100-150 million.
In his words, his company has recently been the most active applicant for approval of deals by the Anti-monopoly Committee.
In 2013-2014, Dragon Capital took an investment pause and renewed injections in the country in May 2015, he said.
