Finance Ministry completes development of state banks' strategy, to present it by year end

The Ukrainian Finance Ministry has completed the development of the strategy of state-owned banks and intends to present it by the end of the year, First Deputy Finance Minister Oksana Markarova has said.

"Several days separate us from the final approval... I hope that in the near future we will have a presentation of a common strategy," she said at a press conference in Kyiv on Tuesday.

Markarova also said that PrivatBank's supervisory board had previously considered its own development strategy and expects its approval with a common strategy for the development of state-owned banks.

"The updated strategy of state-owned banks and the detailed strategy of PrivatBank are finished. PrivatBank's supervisory board preliminarily reviewed its strategy and expects its approval with a common strategy. We presented the common strategy at a closed meeting of the Verkhovna Rada committee on banking activities, and now it was discussed by almost all supervisory board," the banker added.
