Accident in Baumgarten doesn't affect gas price in Ukrainian market
An accident at the gas pumping station in Baumgarten (Austria) did not affect the price of gas in the Ukrainian market, the co-owner of ERU group of companies, Yaroslav Mudry, has told Interfax-Ukraine.
"Now we see no significant impact of yesterday's events on prices in Ukraine. The prices are approximately at the same level as before yesterday's events. The U.S. dollar exchange rate is more important for the gas price now," he said.
As reported, an explosion occurred at the gas hub in the Austrian city of Baumgarten on Tuesday morning, and then a violent fire began. Austria's gas transportation system operator Gas Connect Austria managed to resume transit in the evening on the same day.
