Maximum unemployment pay in Ukraine up to UAH 7,048
The level of maximum unemployment pay in Ukraine has grown to UAH 7,048 in connection with the increase in the minimum living wage from December 1, according to the State Employment Service.
In accordance with the law of Ukraine on the national budget for 2017, the size of living wage for able-bodied persons was increased to UAH 1,762 from December 1, and respectively the level of maximum unemployment pay from today is UAH 7,048, the service said.
Previously, the maximum unemployment pay in Ukraine was UAH 6,739.
In addition to raising the maximum unemployment assistance due to the increase in the subsistence minimum, all social payments from the state are increased, the State Employment Service said.
As reported, the minimum wage of UAH 3,200 remains unchanged by the end of 2017. Therefore all payments depending on it remain at the level they are determined as of January 1, 2017.
