The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine intends to additionally finance road safety in 2018 at the expense of excise duties on imported petroleum products, Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman said at a government meeting on Friday.
"We have now found a mechanism for additional financing road safety due to excise duties on imported fuel ... We must make road safety the highest priority next year when building roads," he said.
The prime minister also noted the Road Fund will start work from January 1, 2018.
