Agricultural production in Ukraine 2.3% down in ten months of 2017
Agricultural production in Ukraine (excluding the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea and Sevastopol, part of the ATO zone) in January-October 2017 decreased by 2.3% compared to the same period in 2016.
According to the State Statistics Service, during this period agricultural enterprises reduced production by 3.6%, households by 0.7%.
Crop production in January-October fell by 2.9% compared to the same period in 2016, livestock breeding by 0.5%.
As reported with reference to the service, agricultural production in Ukraine in 2016 grew by 6.3% compared with 2015.
The agricultural output index reflects the relative level of changes in the total natural volumes of agricultural goods produced over certain periods that are chosen for comparison. To determine the index of agricultural products, the volume of agricultural output at constant prices is used. Average prices for 2010 are accepted as constant prices.
