Presidential administration head, Holtec International president discuss cooperation in energy

Head of the Presidential Administration of Ukraine Ihor Rainin has met with President of Holtec International Kris Singh and discussed cooperation in the energy sector, according to the official website of the Ukrainian president.

Rainin praised the efforts of the American company in implementing two projects in Ukraine: the construction of a spent nuclear fuel storage facility for Chornobyl nuclear power plant and the centralized storage of spent nuclear fuel for Khmelnytsky, Rivne and Yuzhnoukrainsk nuclear power plants.

"This is a global problem, and we pay considerable attention to it," he said.

The parties discussed the prospects for a further implementation of these projects.

Rainin also thanked Singh for the decision to join the National Investment Council under the president of Ukraine.
