Ukraine's deputy PM says social pensions may increase on Dec 1
Ukraine's Deputy Prime Minister Pavlo Rozenko has said the next increase in social pensions, including payments to disabled people, is expected on December 1, 2017.
"Only labor pensions have been upgraded within the context of the pension reform. An increase in social pensions and payments to disabled will be provided along with the growth of the subsistence minimum. The next increase in the subsistence level is expected on December 1 this year. Therefore, the corresponding payments will be increased starting from December 1," Rozenko told 112.Ukraine TV channel on Friday night.
At the same time, Rozenko commented on the payments to the "persons born in time of war."
"Persons born in time of war" have never been paid a retirement allowance in full since 2004, for the segregation of such a category of citizens was an exceptionally populist decision by the then government," the deputy prime minister said.
