Finance ministry seeks to legislate medium-term budget planning
The Finance Ministry of Ukraine has drawn up a bill with amendments to the Budget Code. They envisage medium-term budget planning, the ministry has reported on its website.
The key element of the medium-term budget planning is a three-year budget declaration, which should unite strategic priorities of the country with budget's ability to finance, the ministry said.
The ministry also intends to introduce reporting on results of operations for the reporting period and targets in the medium-term outlook by key budget spending units in the Verkhovna Rada during the discussion of the budget declaration.
