PM heads newly created Innovations Development Council
The Cabinet of Ministers has created the Innovations Development Council headed by Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman.
An Interfax-Ukraine correspondent has reported that the decision was made at a government meeting on Wednesday.
According to the draft decision, the Council is a temporary consulting agency of the government created to solve problematic issues linked to the implementation of the public policy in the sphere of innovations, the provision for effective cooperation between the Cabinet, executive power agencies, civil society, economic entities and entities involved in innovations to draw up and introduce tools and create conditions for innovative development of the Ukrainian economy.
The council has 31 members.
The head of the council approves members of the council. The council head appoints a coordinator to coordinate the operations of the council and a secretary to draw up materials for the council meetings.
