Local budgets differ, their revenue grows slowly – Danyliuk
The volume of local budgets differs more and more among each other, Ukrainian Finance Minister Oleksandr Danyliuk said at a meeting of the Regional Development Council in Kyiv on Tuesday.
He said that growth of revenue to the general fund of local budgets in January-September 2017 totaled UAH 135 billion or 80% more than in 2016.
"Growth of revenue was seen in the budgets of all regions of Ukraine," he said.
He said that the Finance Ministry records different growth of local budgets and the low pace of growth of their revenue.
"City mayors several times asked me to make the minimum property tax. I think that this should be shared liability," the minister said.
However, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko did not support the opinion of the finance minister and said that "shared liability is irresponsibility."
