Ukrposhta will raise tariffs by an average of 16% from Jan 1, 2018
The National Commission for Communications Regulation (NCCR) at a meeting on October 17 approved new limit tariffs for universal postal services.
According to the press service of the NCCR, the consideration of the matter was initiated by PJSC Ukrposhta in connection with the entry into force of the new edition of tariffs for universal postal services and also because of the growth in the cost of services.
"As determined by the procedure, the basis for revision of tariffs is the change in the rates of taxes and fees (mandatory payments), minimum wage levels, rental rates, prices and tariffs for fuel and energy resources that are independent of the economic activities of postal operators but influence the level of the planned cost of postal operators," the NCCR said.
The report states Ukrposhta had provided a package of documents with calculation for the increase in payments for universal postal service tariffs on average by 16% for consideration, and namely: by 12.3% for sending postal items within Ukraine and 43.2% to foreign countries.
