PGNiG signs agreement with Ukrtransgaz on gas transportation in Ukraine
Polish oil and gas company PGNiG has signed an agreement with Ukrtransgaz on gas transportation via the Ukrainian gas transportation system (GTS), Polish mass media have reported, with reference to the company.
Thus, PGNiG will be able to sell gas to Ukrainian consumers not only on the border as it did before.
The term of the agreement is up to the end of the current year with the possibility of prolongation.
As reported, PGNiG has been selling gas to Ukrainian consumers since August 2016.
PGNiG is the largest oil and gas company in Poland, engaged in the development of gas and oil fields, extraction, storage and transportation of energy resources, as well as construction and development of the oil and gas transport network, gas exports and imports.
Ukrtransgaz, 100% owned by Naftogaz Ukrainy, operates a system of trunk gas pipelines and 12 underground gas storage facilities in the country with a total capacity of 31 billion cubic meters.
