Cabinet voids agreement with Russia on military enterprise production
Ukraine's Cabinet of Ministers has stopped abiding by an agreement with Russia on preserving specializations at enterprises and organizations which participate in the production of military equipment.
The decision was taken during a government Cabinet meeting on Wednesday.
Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman voiced the decision, which was not discussed.
The agreement of December 21, 2000 provided that Russia and Ukraine preserve production and scientific development billets at enterprises and organizations taking part in military production, including materials, composite materials, parts and training kits for same.
Under the agreement it was envisioned that the sides would not sell or transfer to a third party, including foreign persons and legal entities and international organizations, materials, composite materials, parts, documentation and information covered under the agreement without prior written consent.
As earlier reported, on August 9 Ukraine tore up its bilateral agreement with Russia from July 18, 2013 that regulated the procedure for cooperation in the export of military production to third parties.
