Delay in privatization of state enterprises threatens their liquidation - SPF
The delay in privatization of state-owned enterprises might lead to their liquidation, Head of the State Property Fund of Ukraine (SPF) Vitaliy Trubarov has said.
"I am very concerned about the fate of enterprises whose privatization is being delayed by the authorities. If they are not transferred to the fund for sale, they are most likely to be included in the list of 1,225 enterprises that have already been lost for the state, i.e. they will be liquidated," he said.
He also acknowledged that the process of transferring objects from the government to the SPF is difficult and requires a number of procedures and preparation of many documents. At the same time, the State Property Fund is ready to cooperate with the ministries and departments to jointly solve the problem issues, the expert said.
The draft budget for 2018 provides for the receipt of UAH 22.5 billion from privatization.
