Competition agency fines two companies UAH 23 mln for collusion at dredging tender in 2015
The Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine has filed Ligos UA LLC (Mariupol, Donetsk region) and Ukrzviazokhydrobud LLC (Odesa) totally UAH 23 million for collusion resulted in the misrepresentation of the results of the tender to buy dredging works at the Yuzhny seaport (Odesa region) announced in August 2015.
According to a decision of the committee issued on September 7, 2017, Ligos UA (the winner of the tender) was fined UAH 20.749 million and Ukrzviazokhydrobud – UAH 2.227 million.
The fine is to be paid within two months.
These two companies were permitted to take part in the tender. Their offers were UAH 133.69 million (VAT included) and UAH 133.73 million respectively.
Bids of Technorhydrobud Mykolaiv LLC with UAH 129.82 million and Van Oord Ukraine, the subsidiary of Van Oord (the Netherlands) with UAH 133.23 million were rejected.
The contract with Ligos UA was signed on November 5, 2015.
